Book San Francisco watercolor classes & expeditions and find your style

Guided outdoor painting sessions where you can slow down, see the city with fresh eyes, and deepen your artistic vision—alone or together.

San Francisco watercolor expeditions are small outdoor painting sessions where we explore the city together while learning to sketch and paint from life. These watercolor classes take place in gardens, parks, and iconic viewpoints—from the San Francisco Botanical Garden to Alamo Square and Chrissy Field—helping painters of all levels slow down, observe carefully, and develop their own visual voice.

No experience required.

This one-on-one urban sketching session is tailored to your level and interests, helping you sharpen your eye, steady your hand, and begin developing your watercolor style.

During the session we may focus on:

  • Simplifying complex scenes into clear shapes

Watercolor Line & Wash Techniques: Fresh Harvest Class
Sharon Art Studio, San Francisco
4 weeks · Fridays

The Fresh Harvest: The Line and Wash Way class invites you into an immersive, hands-on exploration of botanical watercolor—this time inspired by the textures, shapes, and subtle colors of early spring vegetables and herbs. Working directly from life across four sessions, you’ll build confidence in pen and watercolor through guided practice in color mixing, composition, proportion, texture, and edge control.

From the crisp geometry of radishes to the layered greens of tender herbs, each class focuses on translating what you see into expressive, structured watercolor studies.

All levels welcome. Curiosity is enough.
